"Founded in 2009 by Robert Shaw, a filmmaker, and Marco Clausen, a bar owner and photographer, the project was inspired by a trip Mr. Shaw took to Cuba, where he saw urban farmers not only growing their own food, but also creating communities around urban agriculture. Along with friends, fans, activists and neighbours, the group cleared away rubbish, built transportable organic vegetable plots and reaped the first fruits of their labour.

"Hola,
para quien le interese el tema, aquí cuelgo una propuesta nacida en Berlín que no sé si ya se ha publicado en el blog.
Se trata del Prinzessinengarten, un huerto urbano no tan bonito como los de Montecarmelo, pero más valiente como proyecto por situarse en una zona céntrica de la ciudad, e interesante por tratarse de un jardín portátil, capaz de montarse y desmontarse en un día. Funciona de manera muy activa en el tejido social del barrio en el que se ubica, y vale la pena pasarse en verano por el café para degustar los productos que se producen en el mismo.
La tradición de los huertos urbanos está muy extendida en Alemania, pero no deja de ser interesante ver cómo se desarrolla en España".
